Someone recently asked where Sir John Soane’s Museum was in London?

So, besides providing directions… we also provided them with a link to GOOGLE EARTH. Click here for the various shots as we zoom into England > London > Lincoln’s Inn Fields > and No.’s 12 / 13 / 14. You really can see the unusual angles of the three townhouse building walls, the skylights, lantern lights and courtyard additions.

Mind the Gap

Rosewood London Hotel is located just around the corner from the Sir John Soane's Museum and a stone's throw from Covent Garden and the West End theatre district and just steps away from the Holborn tube stop. The hotel is contained in a Grade II listed building which was built in 1914 for the headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company (there from 1914 to 1989). It was designed by H. Percy Monckton. This grand, seven-storey neoclassical building (picture below with the dome) has a elegant courtyard, a very unique feature for a large office building.
