SIR JOHN SOANE’S MUSEUM – Quick Info on Visiting the Museum and Surrounding Area:

Museum Address: 13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields – located on the North side of the square.

Museum Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Lecture Tour each Saturday at 2:30 p.m. (tickets available from 2:00 p.m.) – First Tuesday evening each month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. when some rooms are lit by candles. Please note, groups (6 or more individuals) must book in advance; max 25 persons.

Tube Stop: Holborn, on the Central Line and Piccadilly Line. As you exit the station onto Kingsway, take a left heading down Kingsway (South) just a block and then left on Remnant Street which leads you to the square of Lincoln’s Inn Fields. Stay on the North side of the square you are already on, and part way down the block you’ll find the Museum at No. 13.

Green Spaces: the park within the square of Lincoln’s Inn Fields and a separate, smaller park behind the brick wall at the Eastern end of the square at Lincoln’s Inn (open to the public between 12.00 and 2.00pm) with its historic New Square, gothic hall and idyllic gardens.

Food: along Kingsway – everything from EAT., Café Nero and Starbucks to bistros like All Bar One (corner of Remnant and Kingsway) and restaurants such as Coopers (49 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Tel 020 7831 6211), plus other options on High Holborn .
